Alex had his third birthday today (June 6, 2009). It is hard to believe that he is already three years old. He has grown up so fast. This last week he has been so excited for today. He decided that he wanted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. So Amanda took on the the task of learning to make fondant from scratch and learning to make a cake to follow the theme. After many hours of trial and error the cake was finished. Alex had a few friends over for cake and ice cream. Amanda really didn't want to cut the cake, but we finally did and it tasted great. Overall Alex's birthday was a success. Now she is working on Ayden's cake.

I feel bad we weren't in town for Alex's birthday. After all that work, I woulndn't want to cut into the cake either...It looked amazing!
